Activities

context and needs

The single Market, the removal of borders in the intra-Community area, globalisation of exchanges, the multinational structure of enterprises, the legal tools created by European legislation, the European or international dimension of calls for tenders and contracts are transforming how businesses are developed.

Business growth is related to conquering external markets, in Europe and around the world. A good knowledge of these markets, on the legal as well as economic level, is a key factor in the success of the businesses export project.

the pdgb process

PDGB has a dual approach to supporting the international growth of businesses. We assist foreign companies or groups and their managers in their activities in France or in countries where French is used in legal matters (North Africa or West Africa), and we assist French companies and their managers with their international activities.

To allow this approach, PDGB offers the services of an international department that is comprised of four areas:

  • the Anglo-American area
  • the French-Belgian area
  • the area for German and countries of German influence or language
  • the area related to European Union regulations

The attorneys in the International Department, who live in Paris, all speak at least two languages. With respect to their professional qualifications, they have received full or partial training in a foreign legal system. Some of them are qualified as lawyers in France and abroad.

The Brussels Bar is a platform for influencing European institutions and to provide service to PDGB clients at the headquarters of European decision making authorities: the Commission or the Parliament.

In addition to these details, PDGB and its international department over the years have developed relationships in Europe and in the United States of America with professionals who have the same standards for quality, co-operation and action.

The attorneys in the international department ensure that companies are put in touch with appropriate PDGB specialists.
